I was hoping to get some advice. I am looking at a mid 80's Kubota B7200 4 x 4 compact tractor. This tractor has approx. 700 hrs. of use by it's original owner. The tractor has been garage kept since new and is "exceptionally" clean. Tractor comes with no implements and asking price is $6,000.00. Is this too much? Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

The B7200 was about 9K list new. Unfortunately there are a number of grey market tractors in this size range. They sell from 4-6K. I guess I would be more to the 5K range. You want to be able to sell the tractor again. ....

Sounds a little steep to me. I have had the pleasure of owning a B7300 (also 4wd and HST) for the last 3 years, bought new in 1999. It is an impressive machine for it's size and hp..I paid $8495 (or there abouts) new for the tractor without any implements.
I just traded it for a B2910 that I am awaiting delivery. You may want to check on buying a new one, Kubota has some excellent finance plans going now. If you do decide to buy new, check out the B7500. It has power steering and more hp and you will get 3 years of warranty. No power steering was the downfall of the B7300, and also the 7400. If you do tight turns mowing or any loader work with these or the B7200 you will find out. I don't think the B7200 has p/s either. I traded my 1999 with FEL and 54" mmm for $8500 credit toward the B2910. Maybe this info will help....Larry ....
